Torches for repair and workshop jobs
Short answer. Our catalog lists mechanical, automotive and jewelry repair among the uses for its butane torches. For small parts use a butane torch with a fine flame; for larger parts and outdoor jobs use a propane torch.

Butane or propane
Butane torches give a fine, precise flame for heat-shrink tubing, small soldering jobs and freeing small parts. Propane torches give more heat for larger parts and outdoor work and keep working in the cold.
Safety
Work in a ventilated area, keep flammable liquids and fuel lines away from the flame, and let parts cool before handling.
